Dr. Sagynbek Orunbaev of the Department of Applied Geology, Environmental Sustainability, and Climate Science at American University in Central Asia will speak on “Remote Sensing and Ground-based Geophysical Studies in Mountainous Regions: Local Experiences”

Dr. Munavar Zhumanova of the Center for Global Change and Earth Observations at Michigan State University will speak on “Ecological Implications of Long-term Vegetation Changes in the Mountain Pastures of Kyrgyzstan”

Each talk will be 20 minutes followed by Q&A. The talks will be delivered in English. No interpretation service will be provided.
